Bare Minerals Eyeshadow in 'black emerald' (£13)
Bare Minerals or Bare Escentuals? Well, I was at their flagship store last week and the kind people there gave me a lovely make over. I was going out that night so asked for something dramatic. This dark green caught my eye immediately, and it was used to give me a smokey green effect on my eyes. It has black mixed in with a rich golden undertone (worked very well with my skin colour). It was also used wet as an eyeliner, I was very happy with the way it made my eyes look and went away with this and the lip gloss they used on me:
Candi Buxom Lipgloss (£17)
The top swatch is the gloss on its own, the swatch on the bottom is with my lip balm underneath. This gloss gives serious plumpness and I felt my lips still inflated the next morning! And so it should considering the price tag.
I hadn't planned to buy anything, but I got sucked in with the lovely assistants and sales ploy. I went with a couple of friends and we each ended up buying something each - one of my friends has been completely converted to mineral make up and left the shop with a starter kit and primers!
Still, £30 for a lip gloss and an eyeshadow that I will only use occasionally...
On a different note, I am planning to keep this blog top secret from anyone I know. There are very personal reasons why I am doing this, and its my way of 'therapy' without having to feel guilty about making anyone I know feel bad about any of the posts I write. Even if no one reads this ever, I hope I get good at it and re-learn how to write again. Because I am not telling anyone about this blog, and because I am almost computer illiterate, I can't ask anyone to help me and progress is VERY SLOW! I am yet to understand the basics of this all lol!
